We started the trip in Lima, along the Central Highway. As soon as we left Chosica we begin to appreciate the impressive change of landscapes that will accompany us throughout the journey. The towns of Matucana and San Mateo are the gateway to reach the summit: "el abra de Anticona", located at 4,818 meters above sea level. It is Ticlio, the highest point of the road. From this impressive place, surrounded by snow and blue lagoons, we started the descent. We will arrive at La Oroya, important mining center, where we will take the detour to Tarma "La Perla de Los Andes". We continue down the eastern branch of the Andes, in the direction of the High Forest of Junín "the valley of Chanchamayo". We see from the road the green mountains and the spectacular waterfalls that welcome us. La Merced, capital of Chanchamayo, is a small city, warm as its climate, full of life and commerce, on the banks of the Chanchamayo River, at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level. Going up to the "Mirador". We call it that because of the peculiar geography where the Fundo San José is located, in soft hills surrounded by fields, that seems to fall over the valley, like a great viewpoint, with a view to a unique landscape.
